Botanical Name: Aptenia cordifolia
Common Names: Baby Sun rose, Heartleaf Ice Plant
Origin: Native to South Africa
Light: Bright indirect light, Avoid prolonged periods of direct sunlight as this can scorch the leaves
Water: Keep the soil continuously moist. Reduce watering during the winter and water your plant whenever the soil surface starts to feel dry
Temperature: Average household temperatures but don’t place your cordyline near cold windows or draughts
Feed: Use a complete liquid fertilizer at half strength weekly during the growing season
Fertilizer: Feed weekly in the summer or use slow-release pellets at the beginning of the season
Very easy to grow and hard to kill. Best in fertile, well-drained soil kept evenly moist. Prune plant freely to maintain desired size and shape.
